At Finesse Silk we believe that every woman needs that night time ritual in the bathroom, to pamper herself and feel relaxed and beautiful. Our mission is to enhance this sacred time of day, with high quality products that feel and look amazing.
Our products are for women who want to take better care of their locks and look good doing it. Through the use of our products, we help women protect their hair from over washing, over heat styling and over using products.

Meet the woman behind the idea,

The idea for this shower cap has been bouncing around in my head for my entire adult life. This idea was essentially born out of my frustration and a significant gap in the market.
I have naturally curly, frizzy, thick and long hair and I personally need to use a shower cap for a few reasons:

My hair is very dry and washing/wetting it regularly makes it even more dry

If I don’t wear a shower cap, I have to put it in a bun - and as any curly-haired girl knows - once you’ve put your hair in a bun (especially if you have to use lots of product to style your hair) there’s simply no going back to wearing it out until your next wash

It takes me FOREVER to style my hair - whether I’m wearing it naturally curly or I have it styled with a blowdry, straightener, or curler. However, wearing a shower cap helps me get longer out of my style, leading to less damage to my hair, significant savings on products, and more precious time for doing what I love

I’m blonde so I like to keep my hair in the cap while I do my makeup

I am a Mum with two young girls - and ain’t nobody got time for washing and styling hair every. single. day.
I have never found a shower cap that I loved. I have tried the cheap and nasty and I’ve tried the luxury expensive. No matter what, there was always something that I didn’t like! Either I couldn’t get all my hair into it, the band around the head didn’t feel secure, or it was recommended to put my hair into a ponytail to get the cap/turban on (simply NOT good for curly-haired girls). Not only that - but most just look terrible on.
Finally, I had had enough and began my search for a local designer. After searching & searching, I found the most amazing girl who was intrigued enough by my idea, and was keen to start material shopping straight away!
My goal was to design a shower cap with a silk interior, as silk is excellent for frizzy hair. I wanted the outside of the cap to look stylish. I wanted the band to be secure AND have enough volume in the back to fit a lot of hair without ruining curls or style. And then of course, it needed to be waterproof.
We want back and forth and finally came up with the perfect design.
I simply can’t wait to share it with the world and help ALL the ladies who I know need this shower cap in their lives!
